Too Much Money the movie is a prequel to two different series set in Nottingham in the 1970’s
TOO MUCH MONEY is a period comedy drama, set in Nottingham’s Hyson Green. Hyson Green in the 70s was a melting pot of different cultures and an area of poverty. Neighbours were pitted against each other or worked together, though men would often gamble their meagre hard earned wages or dole money in the many cynically placed betting shops on the highstreet. It’s a place with a unique culture and vibrancy with eclectic characters to bring to screen. New writer, Glenn Marshall, uses his own experiences growing up in Hyson Green & Radford to bring authenticity to the characters and settings of the betting shops, offering a unique Nottingham voice and mentality.
